For 18 years in a row, U.S.News & World Report has ranked the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital among the nation's top ten heart centers - and #1 in the Southwest.
 And in 2005, St. Luke's was again named a Magnet hospital, the highest honor a health-care organization can receive for nursing services. St. Luke's was the first hospital in Texas to win the coveted distinction for excellence in patient care.

Created in 1997 as a separate component of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities is a grant-making (non-operating) public charity committed to advancing community health through body, mind, and spirit in the Houston community and the larger community of the 57-county Episcopal Diocese of Texas.
