Weight Loss Supplements May Hold Hidden Heart Health Risks
A new study reveals that many non-prescription weight-loss
supplements available online may have hidden heart health dangers.
The study found that 75 percent of the supplements analyzed
contained at least one ingredient associated with life-threatening
cardiac complications such as ventricular arrhythmias, cardiac
arrest or sudden cardiac death. The research was conducted by a
team of researchers from the Texas Heart Institute.
